They cannot be both active at the same time: you can either be connected to a wifi network, or creating one.
RafaeleAndrade So I think I have to replace one of those lines for:
subnet 192.168.6.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
range 192.168.6.2;
}
No.
The entries in that file tell Bela what IP addresses can be given out to devices connected to the network.
The ones that are already there are for the two USB connections of Bela and ensure that the host computer is 192.168.7.1
or 192.168.6.1
. Now you are setting up a new network, so you should stay clear of the 192.168.7.x
and 192.168.6.x
, as those are already in use. In the tutorial, the network is 192.168.30.x
, as specified at step 4 (address 192.168.30.1
). The entry you add (not replace) in /etc/dhcp/dhcp.conf
specifies which addresses on that network the devices connected to that network can receive, so you still need to specify IPs on the 192.168.30.x
network, avoiding the one that your board already has (192.168.30.1
). The tutorial therefore says:
subnet 192.168.30.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
range 192.168.30.2 192.168.30.254;
}
which means: when someone connects to the 192.168.30.x
network (the one that wlan0
is creating), assign them IP addresses in the range 192.168.30.2
to 192.168.30.254
.
If you follow the tutorial to the letter, it should work.
