Marco Hi, Is it possible to connect the Bela Cape unto the Raspberry Pi and load the Bela OS unto the Pi and get the same low latency performance - that is, skipping ELSA and use the whole Bela kernel. The Raspberry Pi has a 6 channel audio input via the header pins (see link below). Can I load the Bela OS unto the Pi and use it's low latency Kernel and OS and IDE etc with the Raspberry Pi and Octo 6in and 8out card? Link: http://www.audioinjector.net/rpi-octo-hat Thanks Marco
giuliomoro No. The Bela low-latency architecture relies on the on-board PRU (Programmable Realtime Unit), which shares memory with the main CPU, and is the true key to bypassing the Linux kernel overhead for audio processing.
