Hi all,
I’m having problems when trying to finish the mounting process for a usb stick, that will be used as additional storage for recorded audio files captured with Bela. The filesystem on the USB stick is FAT32 and I’m using Mac OS X with the USB stick plugged into Bela. I’ve been following the wiki 'Accessing a USB drive or SD card for storage' on this and all goes well until I get to this step, which is where I get stuck:
- save the configuration so that it mounts automatically, on boot or on hotplug: edit /etc/fstab and add the following line
/dev/sda1 /mnt/usb auto defaults,nofail 0 2
As it gives me the following message:
-bash: /dev/sda1: Permission denied
I understand that the fstab file is a text file for information about the filesystems, but can this be accessed using Mac in order to edit the file on the board? Or is it only accessible in Linux? Or is there an alternative approach when doing this using Mac OS X?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to help.
