updating bela: error: use of undeclared identifier '__wrap_close'

I have a pretty old image on my bela (2016/2017 i think)
I downloaded the latest Bela repo and updated through the IDE and at the very end got an error saying "cannot open binaries"
The update appears to have mostly worked but I receive this error when trying to load example projects.
core/AuxTaskNonRT.cpp:113:8: error: use of undeclared identifier '__wrap_close'

any ideas on how to proceed?

you probably have a very old version of the image and you should reflash it?

Run grep v0 /etc/motd in the console at the bottom of the IDE. If that is smaller than v0.3.4 then you should reflash it to the latest version. Note: all data on the board will be deleted, so make sure you backup your projects and files beforehand.

right, I was confusing the SD image with the Bela code repo. Got it updated and working now, thank you.
