So I'm using a 5cm piezo soldered to a TS jack as input for a feedback system without any components. Now I've noticed that once the feedback really gets going (and the piezo probably exceeds +3v to -3 or something) at a certain point the analog in ADC's start glitching and turn off for sometimes even 20 seconds, which mapped to gain structure sent the feedback into an uncontrollable screaming box.
Obviously I should've hooked up the piezo differently. I did some googling and found I should probably hookup a capacitor in parallel with the piezo. Correct? In what range should I find a value? I also soldered a 1M resistor in parallel as I read in some other thread on the Bela forum. Should I keep the resistor or swap it with a capacitor? Maybe a tantulum?
Could it be I damaged my Bela by doing this?
