Not seeing 192.168.7.2

Hi,
I followed the instructions on the start up guide (already had the SD card in the KS page), installed the network drivers for W10 64bits, but then nothing happens. And of course, the network is not present although I can see the BBB working as an USB stick with everything on it.
Does anyone have a clue as to what is still missing there?

Hi,
I assume you:
- installed the 64 bit drivers
- rebooted your machine after you installed the drivers
- followed the troubleshooting hints in the wiki.
- you are typing 192.168.7.2 (and not 19.2.168.7.2 as in the title of this post)

We never had problems on Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10 machines (the drivers just worked), so Google probably knows about this more than I do.

The manufacturer's website says:

Note #1: Windows Driver Certification warning may pop up two or three times. Click "Ignore", "Install" or "Run"
Note #2: To check if you're running 32 or 64-bit Windows see this: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/827218.
Note #3: On systems without the latest service release, you may get an error (0xc000007b). In that case, please install the following and retry: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=13523.
Note #4: You may need to reboot Windows.
Note #5: These drivers have been tested to work up to Windows 10

When I'm connecting the card on Windows, I don't see the device driver kicking in for the network connection, so there is no way to troubleshoot anything, it's not picked up.
Strangely, on OS X, it works, and in the end, I may connect to the card only by the ethernet cable in the end.
Now, I need to update the Bela image as well.

Someone here suggests

If anyone else has this problem just go to the windows device manager and uninstall the "beagleboneblack" Next just unplug the beaglebone usb and plug it back in, and the drivers installed earlier will now be configured properly.

If this does not work, I would try:
- disconnect the beaglebone
- uninstall the driver
- reboot
- installing the driver again
- rebooting,
- connect the beaglebone
